I just finished The Three Sisters great but so melancholy (thankyou mrspenny) and started The Infernal World of Branwell Bronte (thank you Christina) which is very interesting. Well after a brief Virago hiatus I am back in the thick of May Sinclair's Three Sisters which I am enjoying thoroughly. I second all the affection for Possession. It is a remarkable book and I have not ever reread it. I wonder how what I would discover in it now. ... equally.
15: Beatles1964, I'm reading The Fountain Overflows at this moment, and join with any voices in its praise. The Three Sisters is one of my own modest stash, as well. Glad to hear what you or any others of our group say on it.
19: though part of that "fun" to me means fun ... beatles1964 I am part way through The Three Sisters so when you read it you will have to let me know what you think.
Today I received a very nice swap copy of The Three Sisters by May Sinclair and a 30th Anniversary Edition of The Magic Toyshop by Angela Carter. This is my favorite cover so far!
Also received: North-west by North, a Beacon Traveler by Dora Birtles and Lady Oracle. ... easier I recently read Rebecca for the first time and I am currently in the midst of multiple books including Cranford, The Three Sisters and A Time of Gifts. I am pleased to note that knitting is mentioned in both Rebecca and Cranford I finished Rebecca and Provincial Daughter and just started The Three Sisters May Sinclair: The Three Sisters The Three Sisters was waiting for me when I got home today Thank you mrspenny! I read the first few pages and it looks very good.
