1. Next by Crichton... below average book! The reader of the Audio book made it even worse. 2. Golgotha by Andrew Skinner... Good book but not quite as good as his Gethsemane or Garden Tomb.

Anthony Burgess's The Wanting Seed is actually a pretty funny book. Gore Vidal's Live from Golgotha is pretty good, too.
