Selected by the Literature Committee of the Association for Childhood Education International

Delightful anthology of Christmas and Hannukah stories from children's literature. A lot of the selections are from books and authors that are more or less forgotten. ( )

Another from the "Under the Umbrella" series. Lovely bits from Laura Ingalls Wilder, Elizabeth Coatsworth, Carolyn Sherwin Bailey, Eugene Field, Louisa May Alcott, Ruth Sawyer, Ludwig Bemelmans - and many others. Delightful small illustrations from the Petershams. ( )
