A great book for children to learn the history and how children live in different countries. The book focuses on eight children from different places of the world. It shows how they wake up in the morning, their routes to school, and their role in their households. Children would probably like to see how young children live thats around their age in different places.

Colour photographs on every page illustrate the daily lives of children in the UK, USA, Brazil, Ghana, Russia, Vietnam, Australia and India. The children protrayed are well fed and happy, though some live in relative poverty. Rather than presenting each family separately, their stories are grouped into activities that all the children share: waking up and starting the day, school, playtime, helping others, family meals, and bedtime. Royalties for the sale of the book go to Oxfam.
