g'nite,
belva Mark;
While I can't speak for Skeletons at the Feast, not having read it, I have read Midwives and now Double Bind and though I cannot claim to be nearly as discerning as "dear Richard", I really quite liked both of them. I will have to try the above titled work and see if my opinion agrees ... I enjoyed The Pull of the Moon as well and found myself intrigued and loving Midwives. I have liked everything I have ever read by Berg and I think I would most likely love anything by Bohjalian as I really like his style of writing. I am glad you enjoyed both.
Your are doing well ... Ooops, I forgot to keep current with my reading.
on 5/25 I finished #29 Midwives by Chris Bohjalian 374 pages. This was another Oprah's Book Club selections. I must admit that I find the recommendations are usually worthy.
and I just completed #30 Partner in Crime by J. A. Jance 3 ... Yes indeed you are off to a great start!~!
Welcome.

Okay. That will be two down for Chris Bohjalian. I guess he's just not the writer for me. I read the entirety of Midwives which left me cold as well. Thanks for sharing your opinion, richardderus. Midwives was my least liked of Bohjahlian's books..I have read every one.
I gave Wicked away unread, I just couldn't get into it.
I am reading The Terror and suspect I will be for a few days...it is good~ but~ I just started Skeletons at the Feast by Chris Bohjahlian. I'm giving him another chance since I didn't care for Midwives all that much.
