This 142 page book is full of attractive photographs of Prague, focusing on its buildings and architecture. The photographs are in full color, and presented in 1 to 4 per page. They are arranged regionally, to the benefit of the prospective traveler. Among the sites shown are palaces, churches, museums, monuments, and government buildings. In special locations, small inset photographs illustrate detailed aspects of particular interest, such as the statues on the Charles Bridge and the human figures on the famous astronomical clock, and particular tombstones in the Old Jewish Cemetery. The accompanying text describes the sites illustrated along with their historical significance. This book is one of three in my collection that focus on the buildings of Prague. They are not redundant, as the city has such a rich history with so many notable highlights as a single work can't do it justice. ( )
