With vivid colors and cutouts, Butterfly, Butterfly is a short and simple color story. However the massive 'surprise' pop-out butterfly at the end is a real crowd pleaser.

Suitable for ages 2 - 5. ( )

One day young Lucy (she of the polka-dotted ladybug dress) discovers a colorful butterfly in the garden, but the next day it is nowhere to be found. Her search leads to a variety of insects, connected in their colors by delightful die-cut pages. After much looking, she rests in the grass to await its return, and finally, up it pops in full splendor! A great choice for identifying colors and insects, the bright and bold images have a style reminiscent of the famous Eric Carle caterpillar.
