Parisian PI searches for information on her 70s terrorist mother (her father was a policeman). The protagonist does amazing things in high heels that I couldn't even do in running shoes! Highly recommended. ( )

The Sentier, is as much a character as is young private investigator Aimee Leduc, in this gritty murder mystery.
Author Cara Black is adept at describing the sights, smells, and rich history of the Garment District along with the mysteries it hides. ( )

Another fascinating tory from this writer who knows Paris well and brings to life much of the 'hidden' Paris and life in the non tourist areas of the city. For someone who has always enjoyed Maigret, this author is just as enjoyable. ( )
