This is a very good book that would get even more use where we not vegetarians. A rice cooker is an amazing kitchen appliance. We bought one when I realized that everyone I know who has lived in Asia for any period of time and come (back) to the US has had a rice cooker. We bought one and loved it, and later upgraded to a better model. It's fabulous. Perfect rice, every time, and is warming capacity means you can make rice at breakfast and eat it for dinner. The cookbook gives lots of other good ideas, too.
