Two pen pals Nicko and Penny live two very separate lives. Penny lives in a peaceful place with a garden and a dog, while Nicko’s home is war torn and he and his mother have had to flee leaving everything they know behind. Even though he has lost everything he knew and his father was arrested, Nicko still holds hope that someday things will get better, he will be able to go home, and that Penny can come to visit him, following the silver path across the ocean that he sees in his imagination.
