Robert Webber's book on worship is a great introduction to the historical and contemporary perspectives on worship. He debunks many misconceptions in regards to various forms of worship. He advocates for an "old and new" form of worship. His concept integrates the ideas and content of old worship and makes it necessary for newer generations. Although I agree with some of his positions, I do not think he does a good job of providing enough Scriptural evidence for those positions. Also, he doesn't even discuss the idea of regulative principle of worship, which is a very important issue for the Reformers. Good for anyone who is looking to understand worship. ( )
