This is a big hardback book with each page devoted to a particular group of words like animals or things that move. It's a bumper word-building book and the Maisy illustrations are great - bright and bold, lots of primary colours, simple but effective. There are flaps too and Panda is hidden in a lot of places. My daughter loved this from about 6 months and very quickly learnt to recognise Panda and the snail (oddly) which I think is a testament to how effective this book is.
