I love the colors. And all the pretty pictures.
Now, the story itself. It continues right after Amulet, Book One: The Stonekeeper. Emily and, um, the boy, her brother, saves their mom, but she's poisoned, so they go chasing after a McGuffin, and we're introduced to ... ... It's okay, but I wasn't expecting much from a Marvel publication. I was more receptive to Gaiman's Marvel 1602.

I have Amulet in the TBR pile. I've liked all of these that I have read. ... recommend it to young and old fems. I am planning to read next a novel written by a man that has a woman for a protagonist: The Amulet by Roberto Bolano, a Latin American novelist. hey Rocket- welcome to the Bolano fan club- I thought Amulet was fabulous and , of course, The Savage Detectives, is magnificent.
