Ginsburg is hard to review because his poetry is so uneven. This anthology is no exception. However, I felt obligated to say something about it because "Why Is God Love, Jack?" saved my life, and that's why I still read Ginsburg even though I find much of his work annoyingly banal. Sometimes he gets me in the gut and makes me hope when I'm apt to despair. (
