This was another good entry in the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series. I continue to enjoy McCall Smith's portrayal of Botswana and its people. It's clear that he has a real love for the country. There is at once both a resignation that violence and death are a part of life in Africa, and yet pride in family and community, tradition (and the entire ... I just started Tears of the Giraffe, one of the #1 Ladies' Detective Agency books. I really enjoy these.
I also picked up my own copy of Outlander by Diana Gabaldon from the bookstore and may not wait to finish my other current reads before starting! >41, 59 Speaking of the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency,.... Still loving the "No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" series. Great stuff. This morning I just finished Tears of the Giraffe which is #2 in the fabulous "Number 1 Ladies Detective Agency" series. I enjoy these books so much I'm almost nervous to pick up the next one in case it's not as good. How long can McCall Smith keep it up?
