Un libro fuori da ogni genere e da ogni schema. Favola, la chiama Camilleri, ma non è nemmeno questo. Semplicemente ti siedi ai piedi dell'autore e ascolti questa storia, lasciandoti andare, con le parole che si fanno immagini e le immagini che si fanno parole. Un mirabile esempio di come si possa prendere per mano il lettore e portarlo ovunque. Ma non voglio essere fraintesa: le figure umane, qui dentro, anche se fanno cose incredibili, sono di un'umanità a tutto tondo, creature che vivono e soffrono in un mondo che non è più e che Camilleri riesce a riportare magicamente alla luce.
