Extremely exhaustive look at Dunn's work over the years defending and supporting this new perspective on Paul to different critics. While a good majority of this book was either over my head or referenced works I was not incredibly familiar with this was still an amazing resource to try and get a better understanding of the debates and what's really at stake. The initial essay which is brand new for the book and I around 100 pages is really a crucial starting point and an amazing work that gracefully
explains the debates that have been going in for a while and some of the origins. Really a fantastic book even if my lack of Greek limited my comprehension ( )

The most effective criticism of any position is one that thoroughly understands and fairly represents the position being critiqued. Anyone who wishes to give a fair hearing to Dunn's way of reading Paul, or who wishes thereby to be in a better position to show its deficiencies, will benefit greatly from the book, which is very clearly, engagingly, and accessibly written.
