I read a Dean Koontz book recently, The Bad Place...it was the first time I have read a DK book since high school, over 10 years ago. I can see why I liked him then...he's like reading a paper produced in Creative Writing class. He has a good hold on his happy-ending stories...but the depth ... #17 - Which Dean Koonz have you read? His latest things have not been as good, to my mind, as books like Strangers and The Bad Place. I think the stories in those are a lot stronger and I don't like the way he has gone onto these series of books that don't seem to go anywhere. The Odd Thomas ... I just finished The Bad Place. Not one of my all-time-favorites, but I've read most of the Koontz books in the library, so I am running out of choices! It was good...one of his earlier books in which the characters use the highest tech cutting edge equipment---dial-up modems with dedicated ... Some frighteningly awful book by Dean Koontz called The Bad Place. Not especially well written and just a really bad book. Nil chance of me reading anything else written by him.
