When I first started reading the Morganville Vampires series I fell in love with it immediately…or it could possibly have been that I fell in love with the rebelliously sexy Shane Collins immediately—but that’s beside the point. I very much enjoyed Glass Houses and there rest of the series. I bought Feast of Fools the day it came out, but it somehow ended up being set aside and never picked up again until this week. Now that I have devoured the novel I regret that I did not get back to it sooner. In the series’ fourth installment things really begin to get interesting in the vampire infested town of Morganville when Amelie’s “father” shows up in town and begins making demands. Though I spent most of the read in frustration with was the sort of frustration that keeps you turning pages to find out what will happen next. Rachel Caine is, admittedly not the most talented writer but her story is engaging enough—though because of a certain book we all know and…well we all know vampires have become dangerously cliché. For fans of the series I definitely recommend Feast of Fools! ( )Great Thriller!! With another cliff hanger ending. Aurgh!! Feast of Fools lots of big things happening in this book; there's a new vampire in town who scares everyone (including our scary & nice vampires). Claire's parents have relocated to Morganville ... and all the usual trouble. This book builds up to the welcome ball that Amelie will be holding for Bishop while everyone holds their breath waiting for the volatile situation to erupt. One thing that's basically guaranteed with these books- they start intense and end intense, cliffhangers galore. I am very very hooked on this series and think it's better than a lot of adult paranormal series! I can't wait for the next installment, once again highly reccomended. I love this series!! This series is a feast. It is an absolute delight to devour each book in the Moganville Saga. If you haven't started at the beginning, waste no time in doing so. The title is "Glass Houses" and each volume gets progressively more intense and more frightening. In "Feast of Fools", the fourth installment, Claire is terrified to see that her parents have moved to her college town at the same time the World's head honcho vampire has returned there. Claire has pledged her loyalty to Amelie, the head vampire in the town. This ensures herself, and her friends protection to some extent. But even Amalie is frightened of this vampire...he is her father. Suddenly enemies are putting their differences aside, danger is around every corner. Sometimes its hard to tell who to trust. Adding to the drama, Claire's roomate Michael is struggling to come to terms with his own new vampirism. Eve's brother, a maybe murderer, is coming around way too often. And Claire is spending a lot of time with an unbalanced vampire, while trying to solve the mystery of the disease that is shortening the vamp's lifespans and robbing them of their ability to make other vampires. Life is never dull in Morganville. The absolute only reason for a four star rating is the cliffhangers that close out each volume. This series seriously outfangs that 'other' YA vampire series you may have heard about. 0.056 seconds to build listing no reviews | add a review
