Poems accounting Victoria-born author Richard Stevenson's two years in Nigeria, Africa are published in this Canada Council subsidized 1994 Ekstasis Editions paperback with a full colour photo by the author of batik art by Kovas purchased in Cotomori, Benin on the glossy cover. Some of Richard Stevenson's poems in this collection have been published previously in such publications as Afa (Owerri, Nigeria), Anerca, Ariel, The Cormorant, The Fernwood Anthology: News of the Inner World, Northern Light, Raven, and Samisdat. Currently teaching at Lethbridge Community College, the married father of two children published 'From the Mouths of Angels' with the same Victoria-based publisher in 1993.
