A novel about an old man on the Pacific coast, salmon fishing, marinas and forestry by Victoria author D. C. Reid, author of 'How to catch Salmon' (Orca Books), this 159 page book has a section of artwork by David Merino entitled 'La Luz del verano' on the glossy paperback cover. Printed and bound by Hignell Printing, Winnipeg, Manitoba, it received Canada Council and Cultural Services Branch of British Columbia funding for its 1995 publication by Ekstasis Editions of Victoria. A black and white photograph by Linda Brock of the Calgary-born author Dennis Reid is found on the back cover. Mr. Reid has published a book of poetry entitled 'The Women Who Surround Me' with the same publisher in Victoria, Ekstasis Editions.
