Det kom en telefon Norsk politimann i Hitlers dødsleir Karl Magnus Haugan var politimann i Oslo de tre første årene av andre verdenskrig. Så ble han arrestert for sine manglende nazisympatier og sendt i konsentrasjonsleir. Haugan ble i leiren til krigen gikk mot slutten. Som overlevende tidde han i omtrent 50 år om sine krigsopplevelser. I Det kom en telefon forteller han om motstanden mot okkupasjonsmakten i det norske politikorpset og om livet i konsentrasjonsleiren.
