From the same folks that publish books on herbs and gardening; it's filled with useful information. Not all the recipes are my favorite, and I often modify them. I'm not a fan of wheat germ nor of soy sauce, and do not consider them automatic ingredients (especially not in meat dishes). They have wonderful old-fashioned desserts, including apple crisp and date pudding (p. 395), and I recommend searching out medjool or deglet noor dates for that.

It's not perfect; it reflects the times (seventies), but it's still worth having. ( )
