This is just one book in a series of books. In this particular one, a young monkey gets into all sorts of trouble. He gets taken away by a kite, he pops balloons, and he pretends that he is eating worms. The story ends when the monkey falls into a puddle.

I think that young readers will find this book humorous and will really enjoy it. The cartoons are fun and they would help new readers to figure out words. There is a lot of repetition that will help the young readers to learn the harder vocabulary.

For the classroom, I would have students discuss what some things that are expected of them are and what some things that they know that they shouldn't do are. I would then have them write in their reading journals about the things that are expected of them, such as chores, good grades, making their bed... ( )
