Wright's written down meditations and sermons during the Easter week to a city that experienced the loss of its coal mine and has had difficulty coping with the great changes of the past twenty years. Wright does well at applying the message of Jesus' last week, death, and resurrection to this city in crisis, demonstrating how God can triumph even through the midst of distress and to bring forth the new creation in the Kingdom.

A great introduction and synopsis of what Wright believes and teaches regarding the death and resurrection of Jesus, but by no means should this little book be a substitute for reading Jesus and the Victory of God and The Resurrection of the Son of God.

An enjoyable little book. ( )
