Mitch Schultz received within a short period of time, two immense blows. Both his wife, Elaine, as well as their twelve-year old son, Travis, are diagnosed with brain tumors. Elaine lives, after a very serious operation. Travis dies. The suffering they experience could bring a person to the conclusion that God doesn't care about what happens in their lives. In Does God Care? Mitch Schultz describes in dairy form, in an honest and open manner how they were all drawn closer to God as a family. His picture of God as a loving, caring God, who is involved in our suffering, is not weakened, but rather strengthened by these experiences. He has discovered anew who this God is whom he has known for years. No library descriptions found. |
