Stella Forsyth is a widow, trying to run her deceased Mom's B & B in rural Arkansas; along with raising her son and taking care of her ailing Dad. When Adam Callahan appears on the front porch to see about a room he sees a very frustrated Stella through the kitchen window, where she is burning yet another dish to serve her boarders. Adam quickly helps her out (he is a good cook thankfully) and from there Adam and Stella will both help each other heal. Adam is a weary cop, seeking rest away from all the hardships and sorrow he has been seeing in his home town of New Orleans. Everyone needs a helping hand sometimes and Adam will be there for Stella, and her family will help Adam find solace in his life.

This story is a story of peace and contentment when we let go and let God guide us. If you want a short story that will take you to the mountains to find sanctuary, then you will enjoy this love inspired story by Lenora Worth. ( )

rabck book box from svoight 09/11; sometimes the inspirational romances are sappy, but this one really spoke to me. Widowed Stella inherited a broken down B&B from her estranged mother. She moves in with her young son and sickly father. Adam shows up, after quitting his police job in New Orleans, and she hires him as a handyman in exchange for room and board. He's a Christian, and Stella's not sure she believes in God at all, until things at her B&B, named appropriately Sanctuary, start to show her the Lord's way and will ( )

A Fresh Start

Sometimes Stella Forsythe's shaky faith held her back and made her doubt herself...and second chances. Stella ran a B&B in rural Arkansas. That and raising her precious son alone kept her busy. She wasn't looking for romance--then a stranger came to town.

The rustic inn was the perfect getaway for world-weary cop Adam Callahan. And when he discovered its beautiful owner in distress, he offered his services as Good Samaritan. Everyone needed a helping hand. With a little prayer he hoped they could find solace in their budding love and realize the sanctuary of God's loving arms.
