This Scholastic activity book comes with a "secret solver" screen to view the correct answers through a sort of polarized lens. Simple math problems about the value of Canadian coins are suitable for children in grades 1 and especially grade 2 and 3, where I believe this is part of the elementary school curriculum. Questions are shown visually, so that children can add up a series of coins to find out how much money they have all together. There are also questions about making change, or determining how many 25-cent pencils they can buy for $1. The book can be used again and again to practise the math problems and become more comfortable counting money, so it can be shared with siblings. Recommended for children in grade two and three, ages 7 to 10. ( )
