Work detailsDreamhouse by Alison Habens
None. This is one of the best Alice pastiches that I have ever read. It engages deeply with questions of identity, female self-determination, and sexuality. It is a somewhat messy novel--at times there is simply too much happening, and the characters themselves are occasionally too much--but that messiness reveals a generosity and richness of spirit that enhances rather than detracts from the pleasure of reading.
