Jon C Grimwoods books range from 17 to 134 copies, and I think everyone of them, except redRobe and maybe 9tail fox, is worth reading, with the cycle of Pashazade, Effendi and Felaheen if not great at least VERY good.
Also Mappa Mundi, by Justina Robson is quite O ... ... stories - all of the above can also be classed as crime/mystery novels.
A far more difficult book to categorise is his 9Tail Fox Yes, that's a good one, but a ghost story? I've never considered putting that label on it...
