13. The Man Shakespeare is Frank Harris’ highly original evaluation of Shakespeare as revealed, he believes, in his plays. Whether the evaluation is true seems irrelevant because the author has really read and absorbed the plays and his writing is lively, intelligent and original. He brings Shakespeare to life in a most entertaining and thorough way. ( )
