As part of the promotion plan for The Wednesday Sisters my publisher, Ballantine Books, is doing a drawing for a free vacation giveaway for librarians and booksellers: a week-long retreat for two in Santa Barbara, CA. (Perfect for catching up on your reading! And no requirements, no strings ... Yikes! These messages that you all haven't received your The Wednesday Sisters yet are killing me! My publisher did give away 150 copies, which means someone somewhere had to package and label all those books, so please be patient. And I'm on Library Thing, so do feel free to ping me if it looks ... No Wednesday Sisters for me in CO either. Makes me feel less worried that others are still waiting. I considered using the Eliot quote - one of my favorites - for the epigraph of a novel I have coming out in June (The Wednesday Sisters), but instead used a Willa Cather: "Where there is great love, there are always miracles." ... two highschool aged sons (one off to University of Chicago next year), and I'm an ex-lawyer-turned-writer, with a novel, The Wednesday Sisters, coming out in June. My reading taste tends to mainstream and literary fiction, mysteries, and travel.
And (given all the baseball talk), I'm a Cubs ... I am getting The Wednesday Sisters by Meg Waite Clayton. Woo-hoo!! I'm getting The Wednesday Sisters and am looking forward to it. Thanks!!
