Ghost-writer Stewart Hoag is suffering through a bout of writer's block. That all changes when Sonny Day, a has-been comedian, asks Hoagy to help him with his autobiography. Reluctantly Hoagy agrees to the job, and sets off for L.A. But someone doesn't want the book written, and will do anything to stop it.
