The books on detective Brunetti's cases are usually enjoyable, but this one is quite dull. The comments directed to the USA readers are particularly irritating. Finished The Girl of His Dreams by Donna Leon. I'd put this book on my list after reading a positive review on someone else's 999 thread. Unfortunately, I didn't like it nearly as much as that person. I don't remember which thread that was. I just couldn't get into the story or care much ... Hey, Charlie!
I already have The Girl of His Dreams, and that's why I'm rereading the series--getting ready to read that one. Didn't know about About Face so-I guess I'll just have to pre-order it! I've been buying her books in hardback for a while, though regretted it with Through a ... Since you're on a roll with marinara sauce, I've done some research for you.
