#16-- the continuation of progeny is what makes these books so fun, you get to revisit old characters and then watch their kids have fun adventures!!

I don't recall this one enough to review it properly. I picked it up at the time because it had been a while since I read a Xanth novel, and never picked up another. At this point, they'd gotten to be the same old thing over and over. (

Und jedes Wesen besitzt seinen eigenen Zauberspruch, mit dem es sich immer dann retten kann, wenn das Leben zu gefährlich oder zu langweilig wird. Auch eine kleine Harpyie hat so ihre Wunschträume wie jedes andere weibliche Wesen: Sie sucht den perfekten Ehemann. Kann der gute Magier Humfry ihr bei der Erfüllung dieses Wunsches helfen? Er schickt sie zuerst einmal zu ein paar sehr, sehr alten Leuten, alles ehemalige Könige von Xanth - auch die Frauen. Dann arrangiert er eine Verjüngungskur für den inzwischen 96 Jahre alten König Trent, der schon auf seine alten Tage Schwierigkeiten hatte, der hübschen Harpyie zu widerstehen - was zu einigen grotesken Verwicklungen führt. Die Xanth-Reihe wird - wie König Trent - im Alter immer besser!
