A madcap romp around England and parts unknown, in which a group of shady secret government-types and a single lucklorn dope attempt to save the world from a giant vegetable with telekinesis and an enormous wang. I think that's what it's about. I'm not really sure. However, it's so hilarious, you really don't care that it doesn't make a bit of sense. ( )

While this rather strange and quirky book made me chuckle at times, I felt that it could have used some trimming here and there. In particular, some types of jokes, while funny, were overused from time to time. Still, I liked the story of the put-upon Porrig learning about other worlds and creatures and finding the courage to save this world. ( )
