This is a fabulous book full that is full of interesting essays and tips for fundraising. There is a section at the back that has the most charming knitting instructions that are aimed at the male population. I love this book and often browse through it. ( )

Book description
A book in aid of the Lord Mayor of London's Fund for the Red Cross and Order of St John. Includes an interesting fascimile of a letter in the Queen Mother's handwriting. Some interesting essays by a variety of conributors from John Masefield, to Eric Ambler to Gracie Fields.
The Queen's Book of the Red Cross was published in November 1939 in a fundraising effort to aid the Red Cross during World War II. The book was sponsored by Queen Elizabeth, and its contents were contributed by fifty British authors and artists.
