Teeny feral kitten navigates the first days of her new VIP lifestyle with a Japanese family. Cute and very reminiscent of actual things you're likely to observe in actual kittens. The babyish language of both the kitten and the human toddler were a bit annoying for my adult brain, but I doubt kids would mind. ( ) The first thing that happens to Chi the kitten is she gets separated from her family and her life changes. But she is endearing and intrepid and finds her way into the home of a small family who (technically) are not allowed to keep her. So Chi begins her life in kitty fashion, eating, sleeping, peeing and playing. Her insights and understanding of the world are utterly feline and childlike, and anyone who has raised a kitten (or a child) will be charmed by her ways. I’m hooked on Chi! Chi's Sweet Home follows the story of Chi, a small kitten who one day wanders away from her mother and siblings and gets lost by accident. She is found by a little boy and his mother. who decide to take the kitten home to help her find a new home. After being unable to find Chi a new place, they decide to keep her, even though their apartment is pet-free. We see Chi as she learns how to live life in her new home, the friends (both humans and animals) she makes, and the lessons she learns. This "slice of life" graphic novel is fun for all ages, with adorable illustrations and a simple plot. no reviews | add a review
