Its a likable story, but not great. It feels like the middle story - you know, the one the one that really doesn't conclude any story lines and is mostly filler for the next in the series.

Here, we have a grown up Penelope Baily, she is on a hellish planet named Hades, surrounded by a species known as "blue devils" by the humans that live on the moon. A series of assassins are sent after her, with usual trips to bars and mafia headquarters. A bit cliched with spaghetti western politics.

I didn't really feel for any of the characters, including Penelope, when she made an appearance. But, I do like this world, and have the third book in the wings - hopefully it provides a satisfying conclusion. ( )

Penelope is now a grown woman, and still causing consternation in the hierarchies of power, because her ability to see the future allows her to change things.

The Iceman becomes involved, and he hires an agent, and a third agent also appears after the authorities decide that the Iceman's activities may not be in their best interests.

Suddenly, you get a bunch of these people after the same woman at the same time.
