I liked this book for a few reasons. First the language is the book is good were the words rhyme and add on as the book goes on. As the problems happening to the ox add up there are many words that rhyme with each problem, then the other problems the ox has are listed after that. Another thing is that the illustrations set the mood of the book and it is meant to be a silly book. Even in the background the reactions of the sun are happening throughout the story and some of them are hilarious. The book over all is meant to have children learn about rhyming in a fun and silly way. ( )

Another of Patricia Thomas's wonderful rhyming texts that are really very funny. I truly enjoyed the short phrasing and the abundance of rhyming words. ( )
