To this day I cannot wait for the next book in this series. Just like the first installment in the Hunted Earth series, The Shattered Sphere was excellent. This book picks up where its predecessor left off. Earth has been stolen by robotic aliens that were awakened by humanities own experiments into gravity manipulation. In this book Earth begins to explore the new multisystem it finds itself in and the rest of humanity that was left behind in the solar system searches for a way to get Earth back where it belongs. The Shattered Sphere is an excellent follow up to The Ring of Charon, the only let down is that after a decade and a half there has been no follow up to this wonderful and intriguing storyline. ( )
