It's the only book I've never been able to finish... I usually will read anything, even if it's boring 1: for the sake of reading, or 2: so I can critique it and therefore better hone my own writing... but I could not even get past the first chapter, it was too painful.. example first two sentances: If Hank Aaron Jone's daddy could see his land now, he would keel over and die a second time. For certain and for sure.... First thought, terrible butchering of the English language, second thought, okay it's funny, probably just an eye catcher.... but it's not, the whole first chapter is written with poor language use.

Now I know you're thinking, it's just his writing style, you can get past it... yeah I can buy that, what really made me put it down was that the chapter ends with pretty flowers sprouting legs and singing pretty soothing songs, and trying to kill the guy... not to mention the 'glorious' golden butterflies that 'gushed forth' from the flowers...
