A very detailed work by Paul Stamets. Here there is as much practical theory and background about mushrooms as a whole before there is even anything about growing. His book published in the late 1980s, The Mushroom Cultivator, is a great resource and introduction to this book. Together they spill out tons of practical knowledge explained in detail from a reknowned and veteran'd mycologist. This is a must-read for any home cultivator. ( )
