You can't beat it for a pleasant bed time read. ( )Snoopy combats the Red Baron from his Sopwith Camel, Charlie Brown labels the "Kite-Eating tree", Snoopy and Lucy engage in mortal combat for the arm-wrestling championship of the neighborhood. Snoopy goes to France to skate in the Olympics. He returns, and is promoted to manager of Charlie Brown's baseball team, and we discover his potential as a martinet. "Peppermint" Patty goes to camp as a tent monitor, and we first meet the girl who will become her shadow and call her "Sir" (although here she is called Clara, and I forget the name she is known by later). We also meet Franklin, the first black character in the strip. The only one too, I think. Snoopy visits his first owner, Lila, when he learns she is in the hospital. These are the highlights of another great collection of one of the all-time great strips. no reviews | add a review
