Sam decided to have a Halloween party. He invited all his friends over and they all brought popcorn. They decide to pop all the popcorn and it fills up the entire house. Sam and his friends eat and eat and eat until all the popcorn is gone. When Sam's parents get home, they bring even more popcorn with them. This is a cute book to read around Halloween that isn't your traditional pumpkin or scarecrow book.

Each friend brought popcorn and they eventually decided to pop it all. There was so much popcorn, it filled the whole house! Sam and all his friends had to eat up all the popcorn until it was all gone. When Sam's parents got home, they surprised him with even more popcorn!

This is a fun Halloween book. A classic at our house. ( )

Frank Asch was on my entering kindergartner's Summer Reading List (they simply stated "anything by this author") and to tell you the truth we were not familiar with his work. "Popcorn" changed all that. My 3 year-old son loves this book and my 5 year-old daughter likes it too.

Mr. Asch has a real talent for finding topics that children find fascinating. In this case, there were two topics: Halloween and popcorn.

Essentially, the other reviewers are right. This is a good, if not great, book for children that they will read (or have you read) over and over.
