As always, ... I'll nominate Cabinet of Curiosities by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. Magical realism. ... book has two co-equal authors, not one and a coauthor). This is the latest in the Pendergast series. I'm going to submit Cabinet of Curiosities for the next SF group read. I know there is a lot of stuff to read out there, but am amazed that I can't get any action here in snobs for Douglas Pres ... ... authors I read regularly.
If you have not read these gentlemen you are doing yourself a disservice. I would recommend The Cabinet of Curiosities as a starter, then go back and pick up Relic and Reliquary. Very entertaining and always a page turner. ... on... some health things, and focusing on a new job probably.

In terms of thrillers I've really enjoyed the Pendergast series (Relic, Reliquary, Cabinet of Curiosities, etc.) by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. Sort of detective mysteries with a creepy supernatural twist.

I'm having to read them out of sequence, though, so that kind of messes me up.
