This is a very busy book - a poisoning at a reception, an old kidnapping come back to haunt someone, accusations of molestation, a suicide.... Quite a few people are lying or not who they say they are. There are quite a few mysteries here, and it's relief to get them untangled. Gripping. Cordelia Thorn comes to the rescue in the nick of time. (

I read this book because I thought the cover was beautiful and then the description sounded good. I thought the current murder half-way through felt obligatory, the old murder and the spiked food were mystery enough for me. I liked Cordelia very much. She's one of those larger then life personalities that I'm a little afraid of in real life but like to read about.
