A Whole New Mind is really worth reading and I found it "reader friendly." I read it while we were visiting our "Chicago" family over Thanksgiving--it was on my son's ... I read A Whole New Mind over Thanksgiving (my son, who is a math teacher and a drama coach, had it when we were visiting) and I found it very thought provoking. I'm glad someone is finally talking about the importance of the arts (music, art, drama, etc.) in the education of everyone. 49. A Whole New Mind by Daniel Pink. This was suggested reading from the technology coordinator in my children's school district, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I finished A Whole New Mind by Daniel Pink, which I enjoyed a lot. Certainly more than I expected to, I'm nearly finished reading A Christmas Carol aloud. As I work every day and every night this week, reading aloud is very slow going... my kids and I rarely cross paths. #39, MusicMom41,
Thank you for directing me to your review of A Whole New Mind. I really enjoyed reading it (the review), and I'm liking the book. I went to a PTA- sponsored technology meeting run by our school system's technology coordinator who suggested A Whole New Mind, along with a ... ... I do have ADHD; it's no joke. If you learn to channel it, it can actually be an advantage in life.

I read A Whole New Mind while we were at our older son's in Chicago for Thanksgiving. I reviewed it here on LT if you are interested. I'll be interested to know what you think ... I'm still reading Guernsey Literary also, and A Whole New Mind by Daniel Pink. richard--

Finished A Whole New Mind yesterday (from son's library), reading this weeks section of Pirate of Exquisite Mind, and Meet Me in St. Louis for night time relaxation.
I am about to start ... ... I bought Proust and the Squid by Wolf right after we got to Chicago and had read the first part when I discovered Whole New Mind in my son's library. I decided to read that first because 1) I didn't want to lug it home, and 2) I thought it might give me some background for the Wolf ... ... an interesting question: is reading a left brain activity or a right brain activity or both?
MM, from your reading of A Whole New Mind (actually, I could use one of those!) does the author touch on that or can you relate the material to my question?
