None. I'm abandoning "Band Geek Love." I got 1/2 through and couldn't go on. I have better than things to read than a book about a horrible, stuck-up, whiny little girl and her nonexistent problems. Ugh. I have a high tolerance for BS but this is a huge NO! It's a thrilling and exciting book that you can't put down. She is desperate to find out why Conner is so secretive. It was great. AHS/DD If you are a band geek girl - you will LOVE this book!! It reflects EVERYTHING a marching band does. Its a true band geek romance! It had romance, humor, and actual facts. AHS/VB It is a band book and the author knows what she's talking about in regard to marching band. I loved how she worked through her issues and that she is honest with Connor about his mistakes, and I was glad that Connor stayed by her side through her trials. I was really glad the band infor was accurate. The storyline is something band members actually run into, and I felt for her and could relate to her because I am also a senior dating a fifteen year old. The only thing I didn't like about this book is Ellie's temper and inability to calm down and relax. When she yells at people I just want her to shut up and go away. She's a little too uptight. AHS/SW Reviewed by Sarah Bean the Green Bean Teen Queen for TeensReadToo.com Ellie Snow is a band geek. She lives and breathes for band and has finally made it to her senior year where she's the best section leader in band for the most important section -- the trumpets. Ellie has worked hard and cannot wait until her solo at the end of band camp performance. This was going to be her shining moment and she was going to rock. Just as she was about to start playing, Ellie caught site of a gorgeous guy in the stands, staring right at her, and flubbed her first note. Turns out the very cute and distracting boy, Conner, is a new student and will be joining the trumpet section -- after band camp. If Ellie was a normal high school girl, she might know how to deal with Conner. But ever since Ellie's heart was broken her freshman year by a cruel senior, Ellie has given up on boys and built walls around herself so that it can't happen again. She likes things to be in control, but when Conner is around, Ellie finds herself flustered by her growing attraction. When Ellie's former crush returns, Ellie finds her perfectly constructed life suddenly spinning out of control. Who knew being a band geek had this much drama? Being a music geek myself, I immediately loved this book. Instead of the popular crowd being the focus, the band geeks get to rule and it's so much fun. Ellie is a relatable and refreshing main character. She is a control freak, and a band geek, but she also develops a softer girly side. Conner is charming and makes you swoon. Even if you've never been in band, this is a fun romantic comedy. A sequel is in the works and I can't wait to read more about my new favorite band geeks! Senior Ellie Snow knows that this year will be the best ever. She's trumpet section leader with her very own solo. Her best friend is drum major. Nothing will stop her!! Until an uber cute guy distracts her, causing her to flub her solo on the last day of band camp. And then she finds out that this kid is joining her section without having gone through band camp. Control-freak Ellie is pissed... until she takes a better look at him and discovers that she just might have a tiny crush on him... and he just might like her back. A funny, light chick lit novel about a high school senior who learns to let go and mellow out a bit. The writing is witty and fun and even though Ellie is, at first, not a very likeable character, she grew on me by the end. A sweet story that will hook band geeks and non-geeks alike. no reviews | add a review

And it was. I feel like sending it around to all my band geek friends so that they can appreciate it too. (
