Even though I enjoy reading erotica be it fiction or non, or just sexual stories in general, I find it hard to get really horny or really into them. If a story turns me on a bit sometimes I haven't fully realized it and become surprised. So if real fueled sexual fantasy's or something to masturbate to is your pleasure you may or may not like this edition. Allot of erotica just makes me worry that I don't have a high output for imagination, or that I only think I'm sexual when I'm not. Anyway this covers about every spectrum from gay to lesbian, BDSM, kink, straight, bi, orgies voyeurism and other such aspects. Covering so many bases being that unless your reading the stories to gain insights into how other people behave in the bedroom or mostly just the literary merits it's always going to be hit or miss, unless just about any and everything to you is sexual and turns you on, not that thats the most horrible thing but it's not likely, at the least. The first Story to grab me the most (and being mostly straight, with a sway towards non monogamy, group sex and voyeurism and a general casual looseness towards sex. I found "What he did" by Thomas Roach the first story to really grab me, it's about how one mans gay lover brings a girl home the narrator works with and has a crush on, not only was it the most imaginable realistic story to me it also seemed to show the sexual side of having fun and exploration, not like most of the story's that always seem to be big on some kind of dominant, submissive forcefulness that I'm somewhat put off by in real life, though seems to be one of the core values of sex to most people it seems that I don't get.

I also liked "She gets her ass fucked goo" by Rose White and Eric Albert because it was very blunt, descriptive and to the point, plus it was slutty the opposite of jealousy really, something that always earns points with me.
Real Blood by Lucy Taylor reminded me somewhat of the Butch the Boxer in Pulp Fiction and his cab driver, with another nor violent twist. It's sexual in a very primal way, and I like stories with good descriptions of violence. I also liked the Butches New Clothes by Isobel Bird. Not a situation I could put myself in or really relate to on too many levels bit it was clever, well written and had emotions running high, a good payback story.

As a very pansexual compilation but even though I'm open minded and like to try and be into allot of sexual things, it's not quite something that really gets my blood flowing too much. Better as many sample or introduction to find authors who write erotic fiction that you would want to read more of.
Even though Susie Bright is someone hold in very high regard and admire very much, I'm not terribly worried weather she agrees with me or not.

It's worth it though to find one, two, three stories you may really like if you find an author you really like and find more works they've written because of it, and I do plan on trying to read as many in the Best of American Erotica series because I am always looking for something to fall in love with that may have never occurred to me.
